{"id":151218,"date":"2025-09-17T21:09:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-17T21:09:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/151218\/"},"modified":"2025-09-17T21:09:10","modified_gmt":"2025-09-17T21:09:10","slug":"the-beautiful-thing-that-often-happens-in-womens-tennis-has-been-highlighted-by-top-wta-coach","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/151218\/","title":{"rendered":"The &#8216;beautiful thing&#8217; that often happens in women&#8217;s tennis has been highlighted by top WTA coach"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Women\u2019s tennis has entertained fans around the world in 2025, as the stars of the WTA Tour continue to impress.<\/p>\n<p>Kicking off the year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/madison-keys-sends-social-media-message-after-beating-aryna-sabalenka-in-the-australian-open-final\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Madison Keys won the Australian Open title<\/a>, defeating Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka in back-to-back matches.<\/p>\n<p>Then at the French Open, Sabalenka lost another Grand Slam final when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/what-coco-gauff-wrote-in-note-to-herself-before-the-french-open-final-which-she-copied-from-olympic-gold-medalist\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Coco Gauff clinched the second major title<\/a> of her career.<\/p>\n<p>At <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wimbledon\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wimbledon<\/a>, Swiatek bounced back from a tough start to the year by winning the title, taking her Grand Slam tally to six.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"631\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/GettyImages-2224166567-1-1024x631.jpg\" alt=\"Iga Swiatek of Poland poses with six fingers representing her six Grand Slam wins after defeating Amanda Anisimova in the 2025 Wimbledon final\" class=\"wp-image-112574\" \/>Photo by Robert Prange\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>To finish the Grand Slam season, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/aryna-sabalenka-makes-confident-prediction-about-amanda-anisimova-after-beating-her-in-the-us-open-final\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sabalenka won the US Open<\/a>, ensuring she didn\u2019t go without a major in 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The stars of women\u2019s tennis often steal the spotlight, although that\u2019s not to say the lower-ranked players on tour don\u2019t have a part to play in the growth of the game\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Marta Kostyuk\u2019s coach says watching lower-ranked players cause upsets is a \u2018beautiful thing\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Appearing as a guest on the \u2018Inside-In\u2019 podcast, Marta Kostyuk\u2019s coach, Sandra Zaniewska, gave her verdict on the depth of quality on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wta\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WTA Tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s such a great thing for the sport because it makes everyone better,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHonestly, we need that. I think everyone knows what they need to do on the women\u2019s side in order to get better and to play better.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut there are so many players that are 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, and they can beat top 15 players.
