\n\tMatt Reeves<\/a> is sharing some new details about \u201cThe Batman Part II.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a red carpet interview with Josh Horowitz<\/a>, Reeves said the highly anticipated sequel will focus more on the character of Bruce Wayne since \u201cthe first is so focused on Batman.\u201d Reeves pointed out that in previous films, the origin story is often the meat of Wayne\u2019s background, but with \u201cThe Batman Part II,\u201d fans will see the man behind the mask in new ways.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c[In] a lot of the other films, which I love, once you get past the origin tale, which we didn\u2019t quite do, but we did something that referred to his origins, then you start telling the Rogues Gallery story and that character\u2019s sort of arch,\u201d Reeves said. \u201cBut I never wanted to lose [Robert Pattinson<\/a>] at the center of these stories, and so that is really what we set our aim on.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe \u201cCloverfield\u201d director explained that the sequel\u2019s new angle was a crucial consideration when selecting the villain. He teased that the antagonist for \u201cThe Batman Part II\u201d has \u201cnever really been done in a movie before.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tReeves and the entire DC camp have kept details about \u201cThe Batman Part II\u201d highly secretive. The writer-director recently told Variety<\/a> that he keeps the script in a \u201csecret pouch\u201d to protect the film from leaks.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe put [the script] into a secret pouch that literally has a lock on it with a code,\u201d he said. \u201c[Pattinson] was in New York at the time, and everything is high security.\u201d<\/p>\n
