Charley Hull admits she hasn’t a clue how golf legend Tiger Woods<\/a> won so many tournaments on the PGA Tour<\/a> while under pressure after what she experienced en route to winning on the LPGA on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Hull<\/a>, 29, looked like she was going to come up short once again at the Kroger Queen City Championship only for a shocking late collapse<\/a> from Jeeno Thitikul to hand her a third career LPGA<\/a> title.<\/p>\n

The win marked Hull’s first on the LPGA in nearly three years and her first around the world in 10 months.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After watching Thitikul take four putts right in front of her en route to a bogey on the par-5 18th, Hull was left with a short one-foot birdie putt to prevail by a shot at TPC River’s Bend.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hull’s hands were shaking, and she had to back off the putt as a result.\u00a0<\/p>\n

But she held her nerve to tap the ball home for a first win of the season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Yeah, it was only like a foot putt, but I think I was generally that shocked, and then I get a lot of adrenaline on the way round,” Hull told reporters after sealing her LPGA career hat-trick.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I can cog down — say if it was like a 190 pin that would be a 5-iron; I could hit a 7-iron that far.<\/p>\n

“I feel like I was pretty calm coming into the green knew I had to hole the putt four eagle. Missed it and had a foot putt. When I realized I had it for the win I had this mad shock of adrenaline come through me and my hands was like shaking.<\/p>\n

“I was like, oh, no. Usually I can calm it down in like five minutes but I had to play straightaway. I had to back off it twice. I don’t know how like Tiger Woods won that many tournaments, that much pressure. It was just a shock.<\/p>\n

“If I knew it was to win coming up the hole I think I would’ve been fine. I think I was just so shocked. Yeah, I? Holed it and it was good. Even though it was a foot putt, they feel like 10-footers.”<\/p>\n

The victory vaults Hull up to ninth in the Race to CME Globe with two months left of the LPGA season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The final event takes place at the CME Group Tour Championship from 20-23 November.\u00a0<\/p>\n

She won her first ever LPGA title at that particular event in 2016.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hull told Sky Sports recently that she considers it’s just a matter of time<\/a> until she wins her first major title.<\/p>\n

She came close once again in the majors when finishing runner-up at the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl in Wales in early August.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That marked her fourth career runner-up finish in the majors.\u00a0<\/p>\n
