Marysol Patton got emotional while looking back on Adriana de Moura\u2019s body-shaming on \u201cThe Real Housewives of Miami.\u201d<\/p>\n
At Page Six\u2019s \u201cVirtual Reali-Tea\u201d Awards in New York City Wednesday, Patton and Alexia Nepola recalled the shouting match <\/a>de Moura started during the eighth episode of Season 7 \u2014 the verbal tiff eventually devolved into de Moura shouting during the cast\u2019s yacht day, \u201cGo get plastic surgery on your bony knees, cause they need it! Your wrinkled knees!\u201d<\/p>\n Nepola noted that the pair \u201cwere on another boat so we couldn\u2019t hear\u201d what de Moura, 59, was saying at the time, but said she was \u201claughing\u201d at the \u201cridiculous\u201d spectacle. Variety via Getty Images<\/p>\n She told hosts Evan Real and Danny Murphy that she heard co-star Adriana de Moura\u2019s body-shaming jabs on a recent episode \u201cloud and clear.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cGo get plastic surgery on your bony knees, cause they need it!\u201d de Moura shouted from a yacht. <\/p>\n \u201cI have to say that those things, like affect me a lot, because people used to say those things to my mom,\u201d an emotional Patton told hosts Evan Real and Danny Evans during the onstage discussion.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know and nowadays, nobody should be doing that about anybody, but this is the world we live in,\u201d Nepola said during the event, which was presented by Tri-State Cadillac and Malibu. <\/p>\n \u201cWe do not support that,\u201d she continued. \u201cAnd unfortunately you see it on our show, and we\u2019re sorry for that. Getty Images<\/p>\n Murphy noted that body-shaming is \u201cjust going low for no reason,\u201d as Patton wiped away tears.<\/p>\n Murphy and Real reassured the reality star, 58, that fans have \u201cso much love\u201d for both her and her late mother, Elsa, who appeared on the first couple of seasons of \u201cRHOM,\u201d and passed away at the age of 84 in 2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe miss mama Elsa, we miss her!\u201d Real said as the crowd cheered, with Nepola agreeing, \u201cMe too.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/p>\n Nepola and Patton first appeared on \u201cThe Real Housewives of Miami\u201d in 2011.
