This new milestone surpasses the previous program best of #28, set just one month ago in August 2025. Canada have been on a remarkable rise since February 2024, climbing 24 places from #50 to #26 in just over a year and a half.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Canada\u2019s September FIFA window featured two historic victories in Europe: a 3-0 win over Romania (FIFA Rank #51) and a 1-0 victory over Wales (FIFA Rank #30). These results mark the first time in program history that Canada have beaten three UEFA opponents in succession (Ukraine, Romania, Wales). Romania was also CANMNT\u2019s first victory on European soil against a UEFA nation since 2009.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Looking ahead, CANMNT are set to play four more fixtures this fall against nations ranked inside the FIFA Top 50.
