The Jays made a roster move:<\/p>\n
Mason Fluharty has been called back up to the Jays. He was sent down on July 2nd.
\nRobinson Pi\u00f1a has been sent down to Buffalo. <\/p>\n
I had forgotten that Pi\u00f1a was on the team (and I think John had too). He\u2019s only pitched for us once, back on July 7th, and it didn\u2019t go well. With the way the bullpen has been used, having a player who hasn\u2019t been used. I\u2019m not a big fan of giving up on someone after one outing. I\u2019m pretty sure we don\u2019t have any pitchers who haven\u2019t had one bad outing. But obviously, he\u2019s lost John\u2019s trust. <\/p>\n
Fluharty was terrific for his first couple of months with the Jays but had a downturn in June, with a 9.82 ERA in his 11 innings in June. I\u2019m hoping they figured out what his issues were in Buffalo.<\/p>\n
