Telus PureFibre services will support critical, transformational change in the region, unlocking new opportunities for connection, innovation and growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/indicator-big.gif\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The town says many residents have already received letters and construction notices from F3 Networks, which outlines the work being done and gives residents the opportunity to take advantage of the fibre-optic services at a future date.<\/p>\n<p>Officials says the work will be completed one zone at a time and construction is expected to take approximately two months, weather permitting. The work will include directional drilling and hydrovaccing in town boulevards or utility right-of-ways owned by the town to install the fibre-optic network.<\/p>\n<p>The residents who will be impacted will be notified by F3 Networks before work begins and while it is in progress, residents may experience sidewalk detours and construction noise. There will also be temporary barricading of work zones on town owned boulevards or utility right-of-ways and\/or easements using plywood and temporary fencing.<\/p>\n<p>Officials say the necessary re-seeding may have to be paused until the spring and summer months when seeds will germinate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re always looking to improve services to Sylvan Lake residents and the opportunity to add PureFibre to our community helps to accomplish that,\u201d said Town of Sylvan Lake Mayor, Megan Hanson. \u201cWhether it\u2019s residents enjoying internet at home to fuel their past times, or businesses needing a quality solution to help power their experiences to Lakers, having this service added to Sylvan Lake will provide residents with more options in which to work and play. We\u2019re an innovative community, always looking forward and enhancing everything that makes Sylvan Lake such a great place to visit and call home. We\u2019re looking forward to having F3 Networks adding Telus PureFibre as an option for Lakers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to officials, the town owned boulevards are typically 17 metres wide and extend a couple metres behind the edge of sidewalk or back of curb.<\/p>\n<p>The towns says Telus and F3 Networks may approach home owners in an active work zone to ask if they\u2019d like fibre-optic services extended to their house but it is completely optional.<\/p>\n<p>If a homeowner chooses to opt-in to this service, F3 Networks will perform shallow trenching work on the privately owned land. <\/p>\n<p>However, work cannot be completed outside of boulevards and utility right-of-ways without a homeowner\u2019s permission.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cF3 Networks is proud to bring fibre connectivity to the Town of Sylvan Lake,\u201d said Jordan Young, President and CEO of F3 Networks. \u201cOver the next two years, this fibre optic network will transform how residents and businesses connect, communicate and thrive.
