\n\tAndrew Kolvet, an executive producer of \u201cThe Charlie Kirk<\/a> Show\u201d and a close friend of the slain conservative activist, said Charlie Kirk \u201cloved that he was featured in \u2018South Park<\/a>\u2018\u201d and would have wanted the episode satirizing him to continue airing.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Aug. 6 episode of \u201cSouth Park,\u201d titled \u201cGot a Nut,\u201d saw Cartman imitate Kirk\u2019s hairstyle and set up a table to debate students on politics. After Kirk was assassinated<\/a> while speaking at a university on Sept. 10, Comedy Central pulled the episode<\/a> from its linear rotation, while the episode remained available to stream on Paramount+.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAs someone who can speak with some authority on this, Charlie loved that he was featured in \u2018South Park,’\u201d Kolvet wrote on X<\/a>. \u201cHe told me many times. He would want the episode back up.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen \u201cSouth Park\u201d first dropped a teaser of the episode in July, Kirk reacted positively to being mocked on the series. \u201cHonestly, my first reaction was that I kinda laughed,\u201d he said in an interview with\u00a0Fox News Digital<\/a>, saying that he used to watch \u201cSouth Park\u201d in high school and calling the show an \u201cequal opportunity offender.\u201d \u201cIt\u2019s kinda funny, and it kinda goes to show the cultural impact and the resonance that our movement has been able to achieve. I look at this as a badge of honor.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Turning Point USA founder added, \u201cWe as conservatives need to be able to take a joke. We shouldn\u2019t take ourselves so seriously. That\u2019s something that the left has always done, to great detriment to themselves and the movement. Look, they\u2019re professional comedians. They\u2019re probably going to roast me, and I think that\u2019s fine. That\u2019s what it\u2019s all about, being in public life and making a difference.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAt the time, Kirk even changed the profile picture for \u201cThe Charlie Kirk Show\u201d on both Instagram and TikTok to a screengrab of Cartman impersonating him.
