Time goes by so slowly… but we are so back. After two decades, Madonna<\/a> is back in her dance era. In a new Instagram<\/a> post, the singer made the surprise announcement that she will be releasing a follow-up to her iconic 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor. The Y2K<\/a> nostalgia is real. Naturally, the singer rocked an epic look for her epic announcement.<\/p>\n

Posing in a series of photos to mark her return to dance music, Madonna wore a plunging pale pink lace dress. The ethereal, boudoir-inspired dress featured a corseted waist with delicate buttons along with a flowing tulle skirt and matching sleeves. She wore the delicate dress with off-white lace net gloves, nude fishnets, and sparkly gold heels. She layered a series of cross pendant necklaces around her neck along with a range of mismatched bangles and bracelets. She wore her hair tossed to one side in blonde curls and finished off the look with a smokey eye and a pink lip.<\/p>\n

The look is a natural successor to her iconic 67th birthday look from last month that saw her rocking a pink lace corset with no pants<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Almost 2 decades later – And it Feels like home with Warner Records!,” she wrote in the caption, announcing her return to the music label after almost 20 years. She went on, “Back to music, \/ Back to the Dance Floor \/ Back to where it all began! \/ COADF- P. 2 \ud83e\udea9 2026.”<\/p>\n

Madonna’s last studio album, Madame X, was released in 2019. As a follow-up to Confessions from the Dance Floor, her next album will undoubtedly see Madonna returning to classic dance music and offering up a few certified club bangers.<\/p>\n

As Madonna told Attitude<\/a> twenty years ago, she didn’t set out to write a dance album\u2014it was simply what she found herself drawn to.\u00a0“I did some other songs that were slower but I thought eurgh, I\u2019m not in the mood for a ballad, I can\u2019t be bothered,” she said. “I wanna dance.”<\/p>\n

Apparently, she’s ready to dance again. And time will certainly go by so slowly until the album drops next year.<\/p>\n
