\n\tAerosmith<\/a>\u2018s touring days may be behind them, but that doesn\u2019t mean their saga is over. They recently headed into the studio with Yungblud<\/a> to cut the five-track collaborative EP One More Time with producer Mark Schwartz. It arrives Nov. 21, but leadoff single \u201cMy Only Angel\u201d is out right now.<\/p>\n

\n\tYungblud first encountered Aerosmith when he invited them into the studio for a guest spot on his song \u201cHello Heaven, Hello.\u201d They got along so well that their plans quickly broadened into an EP. It features four original songs along with a new mix of the Aerosmith classic \u201cBack in the Saddle.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier this month, Yungblud took the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards alongside Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt to honor Ozzy Osbourne.<\/p>\n

\n\tBack in 2023, Aerosmith called off their Peace Out \u2026 Farewell Tour after three shows because Tyler fractured his larynx onstage. Months later, they announced their retirement from the road. \u201cSadly, it is clear, that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible,\u201d the band wrote in a statement.<\/a> \u201cWe have made a heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision \u2014 as a band of brothers \u2014 to retire from the touring stage.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tTyler hasn\u2019t played any full shows since the announcement, but he has popped up at several special events, including Ozzy Osbourne\u2019s Back to the Beginning farewell concert, where he sang without any difficulties. Joe Perry, meanwhile, has been on the road with a reconstituted version of the Joe Perry Project featuring Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford, Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo, and Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Sept. 17, Tyler made a surprise appearance with the Joe Perry Project at the Hollywood Bowl \u2014 where they were opening for the Who \u2014 to perform \u201cWalk This Way\u201d and \u201cThe Train Kept A-Rollin\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThis was the closest thing we\u2019ve seen to a full Aerosmith onstage reunion since the abbreviated farewell tour since three of the five members were together. The studio sessions for One More Time included Tyler, Perry, Whitford, and bassist Tom Hamilton. But drummer Joe Kramer was MIA. He was replaced by former Guns N\u2019 Roses drummer Matt Sorum.<\/p>\n

\n\tLingering in the air is the possibility of a proper final Aerosmith concert at some point in the future. \u201cThere\u2019s gotta be at least another Aerosmith gig, and I\u2019m not looking forward to putting the set list together for that one,\u201d Perry told Eddie Trunk in June. \u201cBut I don\u2019t know, man.
