Lions defensive back Jackson Findlay went over the diving Adams, but unfortunately caught him with his knee. <\/p>\n<p>Adams stumbled as he got up and was replaced by P.J. Walker after the injury spotter removed him from the game.<\/p>\n<p>Before departing, Adams had completed 11 of his 16 passes for 125 yards and tossed two interceptions.<\/p>\n<p>Adams has been a key piece of Calagry&#8217;s resurgence in 2025. He entered Friday&#8217;s game with 15 passing touchdowns and 2,831 yards in 11 games.<\/p>\n<p>The nine-year CFL veteran served as the Lions&#8217; quarterback in 2023 and &#8217;24.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Vernon Adams Jr. was forced to leave his first game against his former team early.
