Sydney Sweeney<\/a> is going to knock fans over with a feather in her early look as pioneering boxer Christy Martin.<\/p>\n

In the Toronto International Film Festival\u2019s world premiere announcement of \u201cChristy\u201d on Monday, the \u201cEuphoria\u201d actor is seen in the ring in full ferociousness as Martin.<\/p>\n

The former WBC super-welterweight<\/a> women\u2019s champ\u00a0earned fame by fighting on the undercard<\/a> of popular pay-per-view bouts involving Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield while becoming the first female boxer to land on the cover of Sports Illustrated.<\/p>\n

Sweeney\u2019s transformation into the International Boxing Hall of Famer, who survived a shooting and stabbing<\/a>\u00a0attack by her then-husband, is remarkable. She told W last month that she weight-trained twice a day, ate like a champ and kickboxed for hours daily to prepare for the role.<\/p>\n

More than 30 pounds later, she had the power to hit home on the screen.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy body was completely different,\u201d she told W<\/a>. \u201cI didn\u2019t fit in any of my clothes. I\u2019m usually a size 23 in jeans, and I was wearing a size 27. My boobs got bigger. And my butt got huge. It was crazy! I was like, Oh my god. But it was amazing: I was so strong, like crazy strong.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last October on Instagram<\/a> Sweeney offered a glimpse<\/a> of her bicep-bulging progress.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been immersed in training to bring to life the story of an incredible woman \u2014 a true champion who fought battles both inside and outside the ring,\u201d Sweeney wrote. \u201cHer journey is a testament to resilience, strength, and hope, and I\u2019m honored to step into her shoes to share her powerful story with you all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sweeney supporters hit back at body-shamers<\/a> in December amid her transformation\u00a0 \u2015 but she looks ready to rumble in the film festival post.<\/p>\n
