GREENVILLE, S.C. \u2013\u00a0The Alabama women’s golf team wrapped up its first round of the season, sitting in first place at 6-under par 282 at the Lady Paladin Invitational. Ryan Flynn<\/a> led the way for the Crimson Tide, ending the day tied for first-place on the player leaderboard at 5-under par 67.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Joining Flynn in the top-10 on the player leaderboard was Harriet Lockley<\/a>, in sixth place, after carding a 3-under par 69. As a team, the Tide posted the lowest average score (4.00) on Par 4 holes and the second-most birdies (16) throughout the field.\u00a0<\/p>\n

THE HIGHLIGHTS<\/p>\n


\n\tRyan Flynn’s<\/a> 5-under par 67 was a career-best round in her two seasons at UA and her first-ever round in the 60s
\n\tPosting her third career round in the 60s and her 10th\u00a0round of recording par or lower, Harriet Lockley<\/a> posted four birdies in the opening round
\n\tIn her first tournament competing for the Tide, Natachanok Tunwannarux<\/a> sits in 16th\u00a0place at even-par 72
\n\tMattison Frick<\/a> posted four birdies, including three on the back-9, finishing the day in 36th\u00a0place at 2-over par 74
\n\tRounding out UA’s lineup in 57th\u00a0place was Julia S\u00e1nchez Morales at 5-over par 77
\n\tCompeting as individuals, Grace Crawford<\/a> sits in 44th\u00a0overall at 3-over par 75 while Amanda Gyllner<\/a> carded a 7-over par 79, finishing the day 73rd\u00a0overall <\/p>\n
