Multiple people were injured after a shooter opened fire at a New Hampshire country club on Saturday night, the Nashua Police Department said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, about 40 miles south of Concord, around 8 p.m. Nashua police said<\/a> officers are using the nearby Sheraton Hotel as a unification site. <\/p>\n

There\u2019s a heavy police presence at the scene, and several emergency vehicles are parked on a nearby street, according to footage from WMUR-TV. Officials have not provided an update on the conditions of the victims. American Medical Response ambulance company told CBS News<\/a> they are transporting patients to area hospitals, but did not confirm how many.<\/p>\n

Surveillance video confirmed there was one suspected shooter, who is now in custody, according to police. Investigators previously said there were two suspects. There is no further danger to the public, the police department said at 9:21 p.m. on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Fire officials in nearby Dunstable, Massachusetts, issued a shelter in place order for residents on Thorndike Street, High Street, and Hardy Street until further notice. The town is just minutes away from the country club.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease remain indoors, lock all doors and windows, do not allow anyone into your home unless you know them personally, stay off the roads in the affected area to allow emergency responders access, and monitor official town communication channels for updates,\u201d the Dunstable Fire Department<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

The private country club has a golf course and hosts a variety of events, including weddings, according to its website<\/a>.<\/p>\n
