Jason Momoa has now confirmed the fans\u2019 fear.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">During an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/theplaylist.net\/chief-of-war-jason-momoa-on-his-hawaiian-epic-directing-the-finale-historical-accuracy-vs-spectacle-street-fighter-bingeworthy-podcast-20250919\/?utm_source=dlvr.it&amp;utm_medium=twitter\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" data-ylk=\"slk:The Playlist;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas\" class=\"link \">The Playlist<\/a>, Momoa expressed his excitement about returning to the franchise alongside Vin Diesel, but clarified the film\u2019s uncertain status.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cI would love to come back and play, man,&#8221; Momoa said. &#8220;People all over the world love that character\u2014it\u2019s crazy. Honestly, it\u2019s not the first time such a timeline has been tossed around. Year after year, fans have watched the release timeline get pushed from 2025 to 2026 (25th anniversary of the franchise), and now to this new window.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Clinging to this hope, we want to see this timeline finally materialize. \u00a0The script\u2019s incompletion isn\u2019t necessarily a worrying sign, since there is still plenty of time ahead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Though I hope with all the time they have, the film better be worth the wait.
