Other players may have made the headlines in Liverpool\u2019s 2-1 victory over Everton<\/a>, but Milos Kerkez<\/a> has received lots of praise for his performance.<\/p>\n

The Reds got the better of the Blues at Anfield, but as has been the case throughout this season, they were made to fight for all three points.<\/p>\n

Ryan Gravenberch<\/a> opened the scoring superbly, as his rich vein of form continues, before Hugo Ekitike<\/a> added another before half-time.<\/p>\n

Idrissa Gueye\u2019s well-taken strike made for a nervy ending, however, with the Anfield crowd growing restless and Liverpool often camped in their own half.<\/p>\n

Some big defensive moments were needed, with Kerkez a prominent figure during the latter exchanges, making six clearances in total \u2013 only Virgil van Dijk<\/a> and Ibrahima Konate<\/a> (8) made more for the Reds.<\/p>\n

The Hungarian may not have covered himself in glory for Gueye\u2019s goal, falling over, but he was on hand to make some big contributions at the back post.<\/p>\n

It was a strong all-round performance from Kerkez, who is growing into life at Liverpool, following his summer move from Bournemouth<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He hasn\u2019t yet been perfect \u2013 very few 21-year-olds are \u2013 but he is a player who brings quality at both ends of the pitch, as well as plenty of fight.<\/p>\n

These Liverpool supporters praised Kerkez\u2019s display against Everton<\/a> on social media, with the left-back already a popular figure among the fanbase.<\/p>\n

Kerkez made PL TOTY at Bournemouth at 21 for a reason and people were making out like he\u2019s a scrub, incredible today again<\/p>\n

Impressed with Kerkez today. A young player who can be susceptible to being a bit hot headed, but managed the occasion well and crucial in defending the back-post in the latter stages. More of that, please!<\/p>\n
