Authorities in Edmonton have launched a homicide investigation after a 37-year-old woman was found dead with suspicious injuries on Saturday.<\/p>\n
At around 1 p.m., officers were conducting an investigation in the area around 100 Avenue and 111 Street, where they learned that a 37-year-old woman had died in hospital after arriving with what appeared to be suspicious injuries.<\/p>\n
A 39-year-old man has been taken into custody. Investigators say the man and woman were known to each other.<\/p>\n
Officials say the Homicide Section has now taken over the investigation.<\/p>\n
An autopsy for the woman has been scheduled for Monday.<\/p>\n
The investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n
