The property, called The Sanctuary<\/a>,\u00a0is located on High Creek Drive in the Crumpit Woods neighbourhood in Squamish.<\/p>\n

The home was designed by Vancouver-and Edmonton-based BattersbyHowat Architects<\/a>, a firm recognized for projects that connect modern architecture with natural landscapes.<\/p>\n

In this case, the house was constructed by \u201ccutting into 100-million-year-old granite,\u201d with each level angled to take in views of the Stawamus Chief, Howe Sound, and the surrounding forest.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s our sanctuary,\u201d said Carly, one of the current owners, in a note included with the West Coast Modern listing on their website<\/a>.<\/p>\n
