\n\tFollowing the reissue of Lindsey Buckingham<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Stevie Nicks<\/a>\u2018 1973 album,\u00a0Buckingham Nicks<\/a>,\u00a0last week, Nicks shared some insight into her delightful notions while recording the LP more than five decades ago. <\/p>\n

\n\tTaking to Instagram on Monday evening, Nicks posted images of the penned letter alongside the caption, \u201cI wanted to share this letter I wrote to my family while Lindsey and I were making Buckingham Nicks. My mom saved it and it\u2019s been in a drawer for over 50 years.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAddressed to her mother, father, and brother Chris, Nicks writes to them from the \u201cfamous\u201d Sound City Recording Studio in Los Angeles. \u201cI am getting very tired of sitting around listening to 12 hours of music per day,\u201d she begins. \u201cI know it will pay off in the end, and when I am sitting in my small but luxurious Beverly Hills home overlooking my small but tasteful pool that is totally secluded, where I can sun in the nude and tan my entire fat body while waiting for my plastic surgery leg lift \u2013 it will all be worth it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter assuring everything is \u201cpeach-y,\u201d she playfully teases that she\u2019s sure \u201cdad is already beautifully tan and lythe \u2013 making those gorgeous blue grey eyes even more sparkling than they usually are,\u201d adding, \u201csickening that he looks better than I do at 47(?) and I\u2019m only 25. (Give me a break, Dad!).\u201d Nicks segues to her upcoming 25th birthday, declaring that the family \u201cshould set aside the entire month of May to celebrate the fact that I am now 1 quarter of a century old,\u201d calling it a \u201clandmark\u201d that warrants a \u201cgala celebration.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter leaving the party planning to her parents and brother, she quips, \u201cpresents will be accepted any time after the first of May \u2013 no C.O.D\u2019s please.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBringing it back to the music, Nicks tells them, \u201cI certainly do miss you all, and wish you could be here to hear some of this stuff.\u201d Addressing her father and Chris, she notes, that the \u201crock and roll tune\u201d they both liked \u2014 \u201c(\u2018Baby Baby, don\u2019t treat me so bad\u2019) with the fancy guitar work\u201d \u2014 is \u201calmost finished\u201d and declares Buckingham \u201cmay go down in history as one of \u2018greats\u2019 in guitar playing.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tAfter predicting her and Buckingham\u2019s future greatness, Nicks concludes \u201cIt really is quite amazing,\u201d before telling her family \u201cso much love to you all \u2013 and hold good thoughts about this thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile the initial release of Buckingham Nicks wasn\u2019t a commercial success, it would eventually lead to Mick Fleetwood asking the couple to join his band.
