The eight-time Grand Slam champion was joined by his vice-captain Pat Rafter, who was left surprised by Team World\u2019s attitude<\/a>.<\/p>\n With Agassi experiencing something new in his post-tennis career<\/a>, he has revealed what he has learnt from his players.<\/p>\n Agassi played a very vocal role<\/a> on the Team World bench from the first day of the 2025 Laver Cup<\/a> to the last.<\/p>\n After watching Taylor Fritz<\/a> secure victory for Team World at the Laver Cup, Agassi<\/a> spoke in the team press conference about what he has learnt from the modern-day tennis players during his first tenure as captain.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, it\u2019s a great question,\u201d said Agassi. \u201cI mean, if I start with one, I got to go to all of them, because I swear I\u2019ve learned something from each one of them.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m starting with, you know, how they somewhat process, but I think the common theme that I took away from this group, quite frankly, is just how confident they are in what they can do on a tennis court. \u201cWe\u2019re going into a different environment, different court. We didn\u2019t really know exactly how heavy the balls were going to get for a couple of days, and then they started playing 25-ball rallies, ripping the felt off of it, and those things turned into beach balls, which changes shots and all sorts of stuff.<\/p>\n \u201cBut it was amazing to watch their calm in the midst of storms. Yeah, what I learned is kind of what I continue to learn, which is try to do more listening than talking and try to stay out of their way. If they notice you, hopefully it\u2019s only because, you know, you\u2019re adding or keeping their eyes on the prize or on the purpose. But they all do that so well. I don\u2019t think anybody would be here unless they\u2019d done it. That\u2019s why we picked them.\u201d<\/p>\n How Andre Agassi has helped Team World make Laver Cup history this year<\/p>\n Although Team World were able to beat Team Europe 15-9 in San Francisco, it was not as straightforward as the score may seem.<\/p>\n Agassi and the rest of Team World have made history at the Laver Cup this year, after becoming the first team to overturn a deficit on day one.<\/p>\n Team Europe led 3-1 on day one of the 2025 Laver Cup, before Team World went on to win six of the next eight matches which offered a greater number of points.<\/p>\n While it has not yet been confirmed, Agassi\u2019s comments about the Laver Cup suggest he is likely to return to his captaincy next year.<\/p>\n![\"Taylor](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/GettyImages-2236659695-1024x698.jpg\")
