{"id":165068,"date":"2025-09-24T01:29:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-24T01:29:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/165068\/"},"modified":"2025-09-24T01:29:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-24T01:29:07","slug":"cougar-spotted-in-port-coquitlam-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/165068\/","title":{"rendered":"Cougar spotted in Port Coquitlam park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The City of Port Coquitlam is warning residents Tuesday after a mountain lion was spotted in a public park.<\/p>\n<p>The city says it received reports of sightings at Blakeburn Lagoons Park near Carnoustie Golf Club.<\/p>\n<p>If you see a mountain lion, the city advises you \u201cstop, stay calm, do not turn your back and do not run. Maintain eye contact, look big and be assertive.
