Learner Tien is third in the PIF ATP Live Race To Jeddah.

Learner Tien<\/a>, Dino Prizmic<\/a> and Shang Juncheng<\/a> all earned victories on the ATP Tour last week in Hangzhou and Chengdu, respectively, increasing their chances of playing at the Next Gen ATP Finals presented by PIF<\/a>, held from 17-21 December in Jeddah.<\/p>\n Tien cemented his third-placed position in the PIF ATP Live Race To Jeddah<\/a> with a quarter-final run at the ATP 250 hard-court event in Hangzhou. The 19-year-old American defeated Mariano Navone<\/a> and Giulio Zeppieri<\/a> before he lost to eventual finalist Valentin Royer<\/a>. The Croatian, who has lifted two ATP Challenger Tour trophies in 2025, defeated Cincinnati semi-finalist Terence Atmane<\/a> and then pushed Top 10 star Lorenzo Musetti<\/a> to three sets in the second round. Prizmic is aiming to make his debut in Jeddah.<\/p>\n China\u2019s Shang continued his comeback from injury with a first-round win against Zizou Bergs<\/a> in Chengdu. The 20-year-old lefty returned to Tour at the end of July in Toronto after missing the first six months of the season due to a foot injury.<\/p>\n Shang is 18th in the Live Race To Jeddah and will need a couple of deep runs in the next eight weeks to move into qualification contention. This week, he is playing at the ATP 500 event in Beijing and opens against Arthur Cazaux<\/a>.<\/p>\n Fifth-placed Alexander Blockx<\/a>, sixth-placed Nicolai Budkov Kjaer<\/a> and eighth-placed Martin Landaluce<\/a> are in Challenger Tour action this week in Orleans, while seventh-placed Nishesh Basavareddy<\/a> lost in the opening round of qualifying in Beijing.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n
