Later that day came the unveiling of team\u2019s name \u2014 FC Supra du Qu\u00e9bec \u2014 and its logo during an event at the Complex Multi-Sports de Laval.<\/p>\n<p>If the name sounds familiar, that\u2019s because it\u2019s derived from the Montr\u00e9al Supra, a franchise in the Canadian Soccer League from 1988 to 1992. The new team\u2019s logo \u2014 a half-red, half-blue diamond with a white S overtop \u2014 is a reimagining of the original Supra crest, including its red, white and blue colour scheme.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/new-and-old-supra-logos-20250924-CanPL-canadian-premier-league-fc-supra-du-quebec-montreal-laval-cre.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-92548\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The S in the crest is meant to portray \u201cmovement and progress,\u201d while the diamond shape represents the blocks of communities within Qu\u00e9bec. \u201cThe red displays the club\u2019s Canadian pride, while the blue is an ode to the team\u2019s Francophone influence and the white to unity and a bright future ahead,\u201d the league says on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canpl.ca\/news\/5-things-to-know-about-fc-supra-du-quebec-x9567\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">its website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to be known as the\u00a0club from here, for here. The team\u2019s name was a natural choice. We are honouring Quebec\u2019s rich soccer tradition while building on community connections and elevating the game to the highest level.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur team branding is deeply rooted in the unique culture of Quebec soccer.
