The inaugural season of creator\u00a0Noah Hawley\u2019s well-reviewed series \u201cAlien: Earth\u201d ended on a pretty substantial cliffhanger that begs for an immediate season two renewal.<\/p>\n

A new power dynamic emerged in the final moments of the season finale, \u201cThe Real Monsters.\u201d And that doesn\u2019t touch on the Weyland-Yutani of it all.<\/p>\n

As Daniel Kurland put it in his finale review<\/a>, \u201cAlien: Earth\u2019s Lost Boys are destabilized, Neverland is in ruins, and Wendy has gone rogue while the proverbial Tinker Bell sizes up its prey. The audience may applaud loudly after this season finale masterpiece, but it\u2019s not going to save\u00a0Alien: Earth\u2019s prisoners.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Disney has yet to green-light a second season, the series creator has been vocal about continuation hopes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hawley recently told Polygon<\/a> that he isn\u2019t worried about ending season one on such an open note. \u201cI\u2019m pretty confident, given the show\u2019s success, that we\u2019ll get to make more,\u201d he said. \u201cThe risk is the reward.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

The series creator, speaking with THR<\/a>, feels confident about the show\u2019s renewal odds. \u201cI think we\u2019ve launched incredibly well. I\u2019m certainly hoping that it\u2019s not a long nail-biter of \u2018Can we do this again?\u2019 My hope is certainly in the next couple of months to get some kind of sign from them as to whether I should get another job or get back to work.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cCertainly, I don\u2019t want the show to be off the air for any longer than it absolutely has to be. So, there\u2019s some urgency there to get us going as quickly as possible. But ultimately, this is a Disney decision, so I\u2019m excited to see what they do. There\u2019s so many great hard rock songs left to play,\u201c Hawley told Screenrant<\/a> of when we might expect to hear about the series\u2019 fate.<\/p>\n
