KANSAS CITY, Mo. \u2014 The Kansas City Royals have found an innovative and educational way for fans to attend games.<\/p>\n
The club launched their \u201cBring Out The Books\u201d initiative, in support of the Royals commitment to address the community\u2019s literacy challenge.<\/p>\n

Former Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu announces retirement <\/a><\/p>\n Starting with Friday\u2019s game against the Cleveland Guardians, a ticket window at Gate E (Right Field) will be repurposed so that the first 100 fans can exchange a new or gently used children\u2019s book for a View Reserved ticket to a game the same day.<\/p>\n \u201cThis provides our fans another way to experience Royals baseball while also supporting our partners in the Royals Literacy League and the impactful work they are already doing,\u201d said\u00a0Adam Cain, Royals Senior Director of Revenue & Brand Innovation. \u201cIf we can bring new fans to the ballpark and do something good for the community, it\u2019s a win-win.\u201d<\/p>\n This will be available for every remaining Royals regular season home game, and could give 3,000 or more books to children in the Kansas City metro.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n Welcome to the City: More Kansas City Royals news on FOX4 <\/a><\/p>\n The ticket window will open 30 minutes before the gates and remain open until first pitch or all 100 vouchers have been handed out, whichever comes first.<\/p>\n
