Adebayor spoke about Ekitike\u2019s move to Liverpool.<\/p>\n
The pundit was asked if he thinks Ekitike would have made this move to Merseyside if he knew Alexander Isak was also joining.<\/p>\n
The former Arsenal star says Ekitike would never have signed for Liverpool if he knew Isak was also coming in, but now, he\u2019s already there.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor sure, I think he would have a choice to make. If he knew that Isak was joining definitely then he would never have joined the club, but he\u2019s already here, he\u2019s already at Liverpool doing the job,\u201d Adebayor said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s beautiful, at some point I can see them having to play with two strikers.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you had to choose one, Isak would start in front of him, he has the quality and he knows the league better than Ekitike, but obviously it\u2019s a good signing for Liverpool.\u201d<\/p>\n
Emmanuel Adebayor has been in a similar situation<\/p>\n
Adebayor is more qualified than most to speak about this situation.<\/p>\n
Indeed, Adebayor knows what it\u2019s like to join a team where striking rivals arrive at a similar time.<\/p>\n
Back in 2009, Adebayor signed for Manchester City in the same summer as the likes of Carlos Tevez and Roque Santa Cruz.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Edin Dzeko arrived shortly afterwards.<\/p>\n
Adebayor was quick to get out of this situation at Man City as he left to join Real Madrid on loan after just one season at the Etihad, while a permanent move to Tottenham would follow.<\/p>\n
