Elon&#8217;s lone home loss to the Tribe came in 2015.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Phoenix is 4-1-1 in its last six meetings with William &amp; Mary.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Tribe and Phoenix have played once every season since Elon joined the CAA in 2014.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Last Time Out\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tElon dropped its first match of the season over the weekend, falling 1-0 at defending CAA champion Stony Brook.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tStony Brook&#8217;s Reilly Rich converted a penalty kick in the 60th minute for the game&#8217;s only goal. The Phoenix limited the conference&#8217;s top scoring offense to just three shots on target.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tAshlee Brehio led the Phoenix with three shot attempts. Last week&#8217;s TopDrawerSoccer National Player of the Week now has 10 goals on the season.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tRich also scored on a penalty kick in last season&#8217;s CAA semifinal. The last two penalty kick goals Elon has allowed have both been scored by Rich.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe loss is Elon&#8217;s first since last year&#8217;s CAA Tournament semifinal, which also saw Stony Brook defeat the Phoenix. The Seawolves are the only opponent to defeat Elon in its last 13 matches.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Historic Shutout Streak\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tElon set a program record earlier this season with seven consecutive clean sheets, surpassing the previous record of six that was set in 1986, Elon&#8217;s inaugural campaign.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tElon went just over 716 minutes of game time without conceding a goal, a stretch that began in the second half at VCU on Aug. 14 and ended in the second half on Sept. 18 versus Hofstra. The Phoenix was just shy of 12 hours without allowing a goal before the Pride ended the streak.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tBisgrove started six of the shutout efforts in goal for the Phoenix. She is the first Elon goalie in program history to record a shutout in six consecutive games.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/anna-hamner\/10750\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Anna Hamner<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/naomi-person\/10768\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10768\" target=\"_blank\">Naomi Person<\/a> combined for Elon&#8217;s record-breaking seventh shutout against South Carolina State on Sept. 10.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tBisgrove was the first goalkeeper in the country to reach six shutouts this season. She is currently tied for the second most shutouts in the country.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tBisgrove&#8217;s six straight clean sheets were the most by a CAA women&#8217;s soccer student-athlete since Hofstra&#8217;s Krystal Robens posted seven in a row in 2007.&#13;<br \/>\n\tWith her six clean sheets this season, Bisgrove is up to 11.5 in her career, which is already the ninth most in program history through her 26 appearances.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Phoenix ranks top 15 nationally in shutout percentage (.714). Elon&#8217;s seven shutouts are also tied for the fifth most in the country, trailing just South Carolina, Louisville, Tennessee and Illinois.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Phoenix leads the CAA and ranks top 15 in the nation in goals against average (.400). Elon&#8217;s .902 save percentage is also the best in the conference and No. 7 nationally.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tBisgrove ranks in the top 25 among NCAA goalkeepers in save percentage (.900) and goals against average (.444).\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tElon currently holds a plus-16 goal differential, the best in the CAA.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/jessica-hill\/10758\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10758\" target=\"_blank\">Jessica Hill<\/a> has anchored Elon&#8217;s back line this season, playing 884 of a possible 900 minutes. She has logged the full 90 minutes on nine occasions this season.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/alexis-pierce\/10764\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10764\" target=\"_blank\">Alexis Pierce<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/megan-dwyer\/10762\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10762\" target=\"_blank\">Megan Dwyer<\/a> have also been key contributors on Elon&#8217;s back line this season. Pierce is second among Elon position players with 783 minutes played this season, with Dwyer having logged 640 minutes.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Murdock&#8217;s Hot Start\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tMurdock is tied for the most points on the Phoenix (10) with three goals and four assists this season.&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe redshirt junior&#8217;s three goals trail only <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/gabby-hoschek\/10767\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10767\" target=\"_blank\">Gabby Hoschek<\/a> (4) for the most on the Phoenix. Murdock is tied with <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/grace-gelhaus\/10753\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Grace <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/grace-gelhaus\/10753\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Gelhaus<\/a> and\u00a0Hellner for second with three goals. Her 27 shot attempts and 14 shots on goal lead the Phoenix.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tMurdock also leads the team with four assists on the campaign. She has assisted on a goal for Elon in three of the last six games.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tMurdock scored in two of Elon&#8217;s first three games this season against VCU and Gardner-Webb. She tallied her third goal of the campaign on Sept. 10 against South Carolina State.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tMurdock is up to 11 career goals, as she is one of three current Elon players, along with Brehio\u00a0(17) and Hoschek (12), with double-digit career goals as a Phoenix.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Great Gabby\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tHoschek, a preseason All-CAA honorable mention, is off to a strong start in 2025, as she leads the Phoenix with four goals and is tied with Murdock for a team-high 10 points.&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn Elon&#8217;s CAA opener at Hofstra, Hoschek scored the tying goal directly off a deep free kick with exactly one minute remaining to secure a result for the Phoenix. It was her third goal this season to come directly off a free kick.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe junior delivered her second career brace on Sept. 10 against South Carolina State, as she scored two of Elon&#8217;s first three goals in a 6-0 victory.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tOn Aug. 28 at Queens, Hoschek connected on a free kick for her first goal of the campaign, ricocheting the ball off the left post and past the Royals&#8217; goalkeeper.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tIn the second half versus the Royals, Hoschek delivered the secondary assist on Hellner&#8217;s header goal. It was the junior&#8217;s second time recording a goal and assist in the same contest, with the other coming at Wofford on Sept. 2, 2024.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tHoschek also tallied an assist in Elon&#8217;s victory over VMI on Aug. 17, helping on the first of two Gelhaus goals.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tHoschek has started seven of 10 games for Elon this season, logging 725 minutes.\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>GG\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tGelhaus, a preseason All-CAA selection, is third on the team with eight points this season. It took her just nine matches to surpass her season total of seven points from 2024.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tGelhaus assisted on Elon&#8217;s first CAA goal last week at Hofstra, getting the ball to Brehio who connected on the game&#8217;s first shot just 63 seconds into the contest.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe junior scored two goals in a 21-second span in Elon&#8217;s 4-0 victory over VMI on Aug. 17. She also assisted on Murdock&#8217;s game-winning tally against Gardner-Webb on Aug. 24.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tGelhaus found her third goal of the season on Sept. 10 against South Carolina State. She is one goal away from matching her career high of four, which she set in 2023.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tGelhaus is fifth on the team with 12 shots, half of which have been on target. She has logged the fourth most minutes by Phoenix position players this season (740).\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Shlee Scoring\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tBrehio has heated up over the last four games, accounting for points in three of those contests.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe senior netted the first goal of her senior campaign on Sept. 7 at George Mason, her first two points since tallying two assists versus VMI on Aug. 17.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tBrehio added an assist in Elon&#8217;s next game against South Carolina State before tallying her second goal in the CAA opener at Hofstra.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tBrehio is up to fourth on the team with seven points, five of which have come in Elon&#8217;s last four contests.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tBrehio is averaging 3.7 shots attempts in Elon&#8217;s last three outings after attempting just 1.7 in the first eight matches this season.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Balanced Attack\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThrough the first 10 games this season, Elon has had nine different scorers for its 20 goals.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tHoschek leads the Phoenix with four goals, while Gelhaus, Hellner and Murdock are close behind with three apiece. \u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tTwo Elon players have converted their first career goals this season. Freshman <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/abby-brinker\/10776\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10776\" target=\"_blank\">Abby Brinker<\/a> scored in the second half of the VMI win, with junior <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/jenna-abousaab\/10757\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10757\" target=\"_blank\">Jenna Abousaab<\/a> finding her first career tally in the victory at Queens.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tBeck delivered the game-winning goal for Elon on Aug. 31 against High Point. She added her second of the season against South Carolina State on Sept. 10.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tBrehio (2) and junior <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/lauren-mccauley\/10760\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10760\" target=\"_blank\">Lauren McCauley<\/a> (1) are the other two goal scorers this season for the Phoenix.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tAdditionally, 16 Elon players have recorded points on the campaign, with Green (2), <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/gia-milano\/10770\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10770\" target=\"_blank\">Gia Milano<\/a> (2), Brinker (1), <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/jessica-hill\/10758\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10758\" target=\"_blank\">Jessica Hill<\/a> (1), <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/talia-feigin\/10773\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10773\" target=\"_blank\">Talia Feigin<\/a> (1), <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/maya-abousaab\/10766\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Maya <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/maya-abousaab\/10766\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Abousaab<\/a> (1), <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/lilly-mcfadden\/10778\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10778\" target=\"_blank\">Lilly McFadden<\/a> (1) and <a href=\"https:\/\/elonphoenix.com\/sports\/womens-soccer\/roster\/megan-dwyer\/10762\" rel=\"smarttag nofollow noopener\" rev=\"10762\" target=\"_blank\">Megan Dwyer<\/a> (1) all recording assists.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>New Look CAA Soccer\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tStarting in 2025, the CAA will feature two divisions for women&#8217;s soccer \u2013 a North and South Division.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tElon is part of the South Division alongside Campbell, College of Charleston, Hampton, UNCW and William &amp; Mary.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Phoenix will face all five South Division teams in the regular season along with four teams from the North Division.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tAt the end of the regular season, the top three teams from each division will qualify for the CAA Championship. The top seed in each division will receive a bye to the semifinals while the Nos. 2 and 3 seeds in both the North and South will clash in the quarterfinals.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Scouting William &amp; Mary\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Tribe enter Saturday with a 2-4-4 record on the season and an 0-0-2 mark in conference play after tying both matches on CAA opening weekend.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tLike Elon, William &amp; Mary also opened conference play on the road against a pair of CAA North opponents. The Tribe and Drexel battled to a scoreless draw on Sept. 18 before William &amp; Mary drew 1-1 against Towson on Sept. 21.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tWilliam &amp; Mary&#8217;s most recent victory came against American on Aug. 31. The Tribe also defeated Appalachian State, 2-0, on Aug. 24.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Tribe earned a 3-3 draw against then No. 20 Virginia Tech on Sept. 7. Brooke Oswald scored in the 89th minute to help the Tribe pick up an impressive road tie against a ranked ACC opponent.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tLindsey Wilson leads the Tribe with four goals and nine points on the season. Ivey Crain (3) has also netted multiple goals for William &amp; Mary.\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tThe Tribe has had five different goal scorers for its nine tallies this season.\u00a0\u00a0&#13;<br \/>\n\tGwen Doughty has started nine of 10 matches in goal for William &amp; Mary this season. She was named CAA Rookie of the Week on Monday after making nine saves across William &amp; Mary&#8217;s two CAA results last week.
