{"id":170081,"date":"2025-09-26T07:00:09","date_gmt":"2025-09-26T07:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/170081\/"},"modified":"2025-09-26T07:00:09","modified_gmt":"2025-09-26T07:00:09","slug":"carlos-alcaraz-to-headline-first-ever-tennis-event-at-miami-marlins-ballpark","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/170081\/","title":{"rendered":"Carlos Alcaraz to headline first-ever tennis event at Miami Marlins&#8217; ballpark"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>MIAMI \u2014 Top-ranked tennis player Carlos Alcaraz will headline the Miami Invitational later this year \u2014 a one-day exhibition that marks the first tennis event ever held at the Miami Marlins\u2019 home ballpark.<\/p>\n<p>Scheduled for Dec. 8 at loanDepot Park, the one-time event will also feature No. 42 Jo\u00e3o Fonseca, No. 4 Amanda Anisimova and No. 33 Emma Raducanu.<\/p>\n<p>The invitational will include two singles matches, each best-of-three sets with a 10-point tiebreaker deciding a third set.<\/p>\n<p>Anisimova, a U.S. Open and Wimbledon finalist this year, will face the 2021 U.S. Open champion Raducanu. After that, six-time major champion Alcaraz will take on the 19-year-old Fonseca, Brazil&#8217;s top-ranked singles player.
