<\/p>\n Bronx, N.Y. \u2013 (September 25, 2025) \u2013 Led by Liina Tervo’s<\/a> two-goal performance, the Fordham women’s soccer team posted a 4-1 win over the Saint Joseph’s Hawks on Thursday night at Moglia Stadium.

\nFordham improved to 6-3-1 overall, 1-1 in Atlantic 10 action.
\n\u00a0
\nTHE GAME<\/p>\n
\n\tFordham opened the scoring in the tenth minute, as out of a scrum, Renata Mercedes<\/a> got the ball to Salma Simonin<\/a>.\u00a0 She quickly put a through ball to Liina Tervo<\/a>, who poked home her team-leading seventh goal of the season.
\n\tThe Rams made it 2-0 in the 24th minute.\u00a0 Off a throw-in, Tervo laid the ball off to Simonin, who placed a perfect cross to the top of the six-yard box.\u00a0 Julia Acosta<\/a> was right there to deflect the ball in for her second goal of the year.
\n\tFordham went up 3-0 in the 43rd minute, when Riley Carroll<\/a> fought off a pair of defenders to find Caroline Kelleher<\/a> for a one-timer that snuck inside the left post for her second marker of the campaign.
\n\tAfter the Hawks scored early in the second half to make it 3-1, Tervo closed out the game with her second tally of the match in the 71st minute with a brilliant dash into the open field, tucking a shot from 15 yards out under the crossbar for the 4-1 win.

\nGAME NOTES<\/p>\n
\n\tThis was the third multi-goal game of the season for Liina Tervo<\/a> and fourth of her career.
\n\tJulia Acosta<\/a> is the fourth different Ram to record a game-winning goal this season (Tervo, Mercedes, Johnsen).
\n\tKyla King<\/a> recorded three saves for the Ram, improving to 5-2-0 on the year.
\n\tThe Rams have scored at least two goals in all six wins this season.
