{"id":171046,"date":"2025-09-26T17:10:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-26T17:10:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/171046\/"},"modified":"2025-09-26T17:10:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-26T17:10:07","slug":"112th-grey-cup-playoff-scenarios-ticats-eye-post-season-berth-division-title","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/171046\/","title":{"rendered":"112th Grey Cup Playoff Scenarios: Ticats eye post-season berth, Division title"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>TORONTO \u2014 The Hamilton Tiger-Cats could punch their ticket to the post-season in Week 17.<\/p>\n<p>Not only do they have the potential to book their spot in the playoffs, they could claim the East Division title as well.<\/p>\n<p>In the West, Calgary has the potential to clinch a playoff berth and Saskatchewan, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfl.ca\/2025\/09\/11\/112th-grey-cup-playoff-scenarios-riders-look-to-punch-post-season-ticket\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">who clinched a post-season spot two weeks ago<\/a>, can possibly secure a home playoff date.<\/p>\n<p>The following scenarios are in play this week.<\/p>\n<p>EAST DIVISION<\/p>\n<p>TOR LOSS or HAM WIN = HAM clinches playoff berth and home playoff date<br \/>\nMTL LOSS and HAM WIN = HAM claims division title; will host Eastern Final at Hamilton Stadium on Saturday, November 8 at 3:00 p.m. ET<\/p>\n<p>WEST DIVISION<\/p>\n<p>CGY WIN and TOR LOSS and EDM LOSS = CGY clinches playoff berth<br \/>\nBC LOSS and SSK WIN = SSK secures a home playoff date<\/p>\n<p>PLAYOFF PICTURE<\/p>\n<p>In Week 15, Saskatchewan booked its ticket to the Grey Cup Playoffs for a second straight season.<\/p>\n<p>CROSSOVER RULE<\/p>\n<p>If the fourth-place team in Division A \u2013 A4 \u2013 has more points than the third-place team in Division B \u2013 B3 (they cannot be tied), A4 will cross over and take the place of B3 in terms of playoff seeding.
