The rest of this week’s NFL<\/a> action is also jam-packed with juicy matchups, from Ben Johnson’s<\/a> Chicago Bears<\/a> taking on the Las Vegas Raiders<\/a>, a franchise that openly courted Johnson on the head coaching circuit; and the New York Giants<\/a> debuting rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart<\/a> against an upstart AFC contender in the Los Angeles Chargers<\/a>; to the Detroit Lions<\/a> looking to test their world-class offense against a Cleveland Browns<\/a> defense that stunned the Green Bay Packers<\/a> in Week 3.<\/p>\n

This might be where we find out if Daniel Jones<\/a> and the Colts are magic or a mirage<\/a>. Jones’ resurgence in Indianapolis has been no joke, as he’s truly slung it like one of the NFL’s most efficient quarterbacks during the Colts’ 3-0 start. Jonathan Taylor<\/a> looks even better out of the backfield. But the Rams boast a deeper, more experienced crop of weapons for Matthew Stafford<\/a>, and their pass rush, led by Jared Verse<\/a>, easily registers as the toughest Jones and Co. have faced to date. If Indy improves to 4-0 here, they’ll be bona fide AFC South favorites.<\/p>\n

The reigning Super Bowl<\/a> champion Eagles finally flipped a switch in the second half of Week 3’s wild win over the Rams, with Jalen Hurts<\/a> feeding A.J. Brown<\/a> before a riotous walk-off field-goal block. Now they’ll be hard-pressed to extend the momentum in Tampa Bay, where Hurts has struggled to get the best of Todd Bowles’ blitz-heavy defenses before. The ever-feisty Baker Mayfield<\/a> will be without his top target in Mike Evans<\/a>, but Philly is also nicked up on the defensive side. Everything points to this being a scrappy, sweaty slugfest in the Florida heat.<\/p>\n

It’s ironic that Aaron Rodgers<\/a> all but sought to quarterback the Vikings this offseason, only for Minnesota to turn away in favor of J.J. McCarthy<\/a> … and now McCarthy won’t even take the field for their anticipated overseas showdown. Instead, it’s Carson Wentz<\/a> for Minnesota, and that’s actually good news<\/a> for the Vikings after he helped stabilize Kevin O’Connell’s attack alongside a killer Brian Flores-led defensive effort in Week 3. Can Rodgers avenge his ugly 2024 international loss to the Vikings? He may need Pittsburgh’s front to step up in Dublin.<\/p>\n

This is a sad time in the standings for two traditional heavyweights, as both clubs are desperate to avoid a 1-3 start. But that’s not for a lack of firepower, at least in Baltimore, as the Ravens are averaging an NFL-high 37 points per game. For all of Lamar Jackson’s<\/a> magic, though, the Chiefs have proven to be an especially tough cookie for the former MVP, who absorbed a whopping seven sacks<\/a> in Week 3. Patrick Mahomes<\/a>, meanwhile, is set to have the electric Xavier Worthy<\/a> back at his disposal out wide, which should help lift the Arrowhead crowd.<\/p>\n

This is all about Micah Parsons<\/a>‘ homecoming, exactly one month after his trade to Green Bay, and boy is he set to feast while matched up with a Dallas arsenal missing CeeDee Lamb<\/a>.
