The Lions have already confirmed they won’t open next season at BC Place due to the World Cup<\/p>\n
Could the B.C. Lions be\u00a0coming up to Kelowna?<\/p>\n
On Sept. 26 at 10 a.m., the team posted on social media that they will be making a “major” announcement after the first quarter of their game on Friday night against the Toronto Argonauts.<\/p>\n
According to sources, the announcement will be in relation to the\u00a0Lions playing\u00a0their first two games of the 2026 season in Kelowna\u00a0at the Apple Bowl. A TSN reporter has posted on social media about the Lions coming to Kelowna.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Back in August, the CFL confirmed that both B.C. and Toronto would be relocating a couple of games to start next season due to the 2026 World Cup, but in Lions case, the\u00a0locations have not been announced yet.<\/p>\n
Black Press Media reached out to the City of Kelowna, which did not confirm the claim.<\/p>\n
At the Chamber luncheon on Wednesday, Sept. 17, Kelowna Mayor Tom Dyas said he had an announcement coming within a couple of weeks.<\/p>\n
