Christie Brinkley and her daughter Sailor Brinkley Cook made a rare appearance together on Thursday, September 25.They stepped out for the opening of RH Manhasset at The Gallery at Americana.Christie shares Sailor with her ex-husband Peter Cook, with whom she also has a son.<\/p>\n

Christie Brinkley<\/a> and her daughter Sailor Brinkley Cook<\/a> twinned in trench coats for their latest outing. On Thursday night, they stepped out for the opening of RH Manhasset at The Gallery at Americana.\n<\/p>\n

Christie layered her khaki outerwear over a one-shoulder navy dress, adding on bedazzled mesh heels and a matching crystal-encrusted Fendi baguette. Sailor also opted for a blue shade, selecting a V-neck satin slip. She accessorized with strappy black sandals and a metallic Saint Laurent clutch.\n<\/p>\n

Christie shares Sailor with her ex-husband Peter Cook, with whom she also has a son named Jack.\n<\/p>\n

Back in July<\/a>, Billy Joel opened up about his decade-long marriage to Christie in the second part of his HBO documentary\u00a0Billy Joel: And So It Goes. The former couple reminisced about falling in love.\n<\/p>\n

After meeting in St. Bart’s in 1983, they went on their first “real date” to a Beach Boys concert back in New York City.\n<\/p>\n

“Here I am dating this beautiful supermodel and…me? I\u2019m from Hicksville. What am I doing with her?\u00a0What\u2019s she doing with me?\u00a0But that was a very productive time for me,” Joel says in the film. “I wrote a lot of songs for her. She was a muse.”\n<\/p>\n

“It was like being a teenager all over again,” he added.\u00a0“Experiencing those same emotions that I had when I was first discovering romance and love.”\n<\/p>\n

Joel and Christie would go on to tie the knot in 1985, the same year they welcomed their daughter,\u00a0Alexa<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n

Christie and Joel divorced in 1994, but they remained co-parents and are now close friends: Joel is even the Godfather of the supermodel’s two younger children, Jack and Sailor.\n<\/p>\n
