The Youngstown State women’s tennis team advanced two duos to Sunday’s doubles semifinals to headline day two of the Horizon League Individual Championships at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.<\/p>\n

Advancing with an 8-3 win were Lorena Cedeno<\/a> and Lydia Foster<\/a> while Yeseniia Ovcharova<\/a> and Line Greyling<\/a> advanced via a walkover. Both pairs will compete in the semifinals on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

In the other doubles match, Yoana Dudova<\/a> and Hanna Telzynska<\/a> trailed 7-4 before tying the match 7-all to force a tiebreaker. However, the Guins lost the tiebreaker, 7-2.<\/p>\n

In singles, Ovcharova and Greyling won consolation matches in straight sets while Diane Piranda<\/a> collected her first collegiate win in the consolation bracket as well.<\/p>\n
