Canadiens Announce Big Last-Minute Change Involving Arber Xhekaj <\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\tThe Montreal Canadiens made a very interesting jersey change for young defenseman Arber Xhekaj<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The most observant fans watching tonight’s preseason game against the Toronto Maple Leafs may have already noticed, but there was a nice little change in look for Xhekaj.<\/p>\n

He is now wearing an “A” as he was named assistant captain for tonight’s game.<\/p>\n

It’s a strong vote of confidence and shows once again how highly the Canadiens think of him.<\/p>\n

A nice change for Arber Xhekaj<\/p>\n

Check out his great reaction when the Habs made the jersey change just minutes before the game in Toronto.<\/p>\n

What a sight! You can tell it really made him happy.<\/p>\n

So tonight’s game is another very important one for him, if he truly wants to start the season in Martin St-Louis’ regular lineup-right ahead of Jayden Struble.<\/p>\n

At 23 years old, Arber Xhekaj is a 6-foot-4, 240-pound left-shot defenseman who has recorded 23 points in 95 career NHL games (182 penalty minutes).<\/p>\n
