Gear Detox \u2013 a Waste of Time?<\/p>\n

From time to time, we should be reminded that light, moment and inspiration matter more than megapixel, specs and AF speed.<\/p>\n

I mean, I am the first to admit that I also enjoy talking about gear here on FujiRumors. It\u2019s fun\u2014there\u2019s just no way around it. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

But the words we speak here, the chats we have\u2026 I don\u2019t print them big, frame them, and hang them on a wall. I don\u2019t print and frame the spec sheet of the latest camera.<\/p>\n

What I do print instead are the images I\u2019m most happy with.<\/p>\n

And that\u2019s what this post is about\u2014a little roundup of photographs shared by you, the Fujifilm community. It\u2019s a chance to pause the gear talk for a moment and just enjoy what really matters: the images.<\/p>\n

And look\u2026 I know. These image roundups don\u2019t get many views. They take a ton of time to make. They don\u2019t boost traffic. I guess that\u2019s why no rumor sites make them.<\/p>\n

But I decided\u2014I don\u2019t care.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll do an image roundup now, and I\u2019ll try to do more in the future. Because they matter to me. And maybe to a few of you, too.<\/p>\n

In a world where others make up rumors in a vile attempt to grab your attention and profit from your good faith, we go the opposite way: we don\u2019t share the endless stream of dubious and fake rumors we receive. Instead, we focus on what matters\u2014enjoying photographs.<\/p>\n

I might lose time. I might lose traffic. But I\u2019ll be proud of this article\u2026 and of the amazing Fujifilm community that is capable of creating such wonderful images.<\/p>\n

Hey hey! Here to share a recipe I\u2019ve made recently that I\u2019m quite happy with, called \u201cDaydream Gold\u201d.
It uses the Classic Chrome film sim, with a warm white balance shift. It creates a nice contrast, lush colours with robin\u2019s egg blue skies when the exposure is pushed, and has a slightly soft filmic look with a -2 sharpness. It has quickly become my go-to for bright sunny days!
If you find it a little too warm for your taste, try adjusting the WB to +4\/-5. Or for true to the eye colours, go for +3\/-5.

A recipe that is simple but effective for those looking for a rendering \u201cas close as possible\u201d to reality by bringing a clean and clear contrasting, powerful and vibrant touch in terms of lights and Colors. But also a very wide possibility in terms of retouching to lead to or re-saturate on jpgs. A must-have.
Photometry in Multi, and *important exposure game, usually at 0 in full midday light.
