\n\tPriscilla Presley\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0memoir,\u00a0Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis,<\/a>\u00a0revealed so many things, including how her daughter\u00a0Lisa Marie Presley<\/a>\u00a0believed Scientologists were out to get her. <\/p>\n

\n\tLisa Marie and Priscilla were considered high-powered Scientologists after joining in the late 70s, while Lisa Marie was a child<\/a>. According to\u00a0Dame Magazine<\/a>, Lisa Marie hinted at defying Scientology in her 2012 song \u201cYou Ain\u2019t See Nothin\u2019 Yet.\u201d It was later confirmed that she left in 2013, with Priscilla claiming it all went down when Lisa Marie stormed into the church HQ in Clearwater, Florida, to tell off David Miscavige, the current leader of the Church of Scientology.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHer misgivings reached a crisis\u201d when Miscavige \u201cdisconnected from his father [Ron Miscavige] and put him in the equivalent of a Scientology <\/a>prison at a secluded location in the San Bernardino Mountains\u2026 Lisa had had enough. Fearless and angry, my daughter walked into the eye of the storm and confronted David directly,\u201d Priscilla wrote. \u201cShe told him with great anger and passion just how she felt about him \u2018disconnecting\u2019 from his father. Lisa was never subtle when she was angry.\u201d<\/p>\n

I gave it to David, and now they\u2019re following me,\u201d she said. There are black limos parked outside my house and following me around. This is real. This is what they do.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen she was alive, Lisa Marie did open up about why she left <\/a>in a 2013 interview. \u201cUncovering the fact that I was surrounded by people who were not well-intended, for one,\u201d she told USA Weekend, via Us Weekly<\/a>, at the time. \u201cConfidants [who were] very, very intimately and closely involved with me and my life. And had been for years. Basically, it was a big sinister situation, where there was like, kind of intel and covert ops going on, and a whole effort to control me that I didn\u2019t know about.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn her posthumous memoir From Here to the Great Unknown<\/a>, which her daughter Riley Keough helped finish, she wrote, \u201cShe left everything. She left her friends, her house, Los Angeles. She had this life that was very big, and she just wanted to run away and disappear.\u201d<\/p>\n
