The fire at the Nechako Bottle Depot has now been extinguished but Prince George Fire Rescue crews will remain on site to monitor the scene.<\/p>\n
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
First Avenue will stay closed overnight between Carney Street and Victoria Street, with the road expected to open at 8 a.m. tomorrow morning (Monday).<\/p>\n

Prince George Fire Rescue Crews responded to a structure fire at the Nechako Bottle Depot, located at 1922 First Avenue, at around 5:00 this morning. (Sunday)<\/p>\n
19 crew members from four halls arrived at the fully involved structure fire with heavy smoke and flames.<\/p>\n
According to the City of Prince George, crews have controlled the fire and are working to extinguish it.<\/p>\n
There were no known occupants in the building, and no injuries have been reported to firefighters or the public.<\/p>\n
Damages and cause are yet to be determined.<\/p>\n
First Avenue will be closed between Carney Street and Victoria Street until further notice.<\/p>\n
This is the second major fire to hit downtown Prince George this month.<\/p>\n
