\n\tVietnam-based sales agent Skyline Media<\/a> is orchestrating a global launch for \u201cThe Bride<\/a>,\u201d a Thailand-Vietnam horror<\/a> co-production that will begin its theatrical rollout with a Vietnam premiere on Aug. 29.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film, produced by Thongkham Films and Silver Moonlight Entertainment, has secured distribution deals across multiple territories, with Australia and New Zealand set to release the film on the same date as its Vietnam debut through Infinity Entertainment.<\/p>\n

\n\tAdditional theatrical deals are in place for Taiwan (MovieCloud), North America (Eastern Edge Films), and Latin America (Delta Films SAC), with releases expected across these territories in September. Thailand will serve as the final stop in the global theatrical rollout.<\/p>\n

\n\tDirected by Lee Thongkham<\/a> and produced by Hang Trinh, \u201cThe Bride\u201d follows a young Vietnamese woman engaged to her wealthy Thai boyfriend. Her visit to his rural hometown in Thailand turns terrifying when she encounters the ghostly presence of a bride after trying on a traditional Thai wedding dress \u2014 an heirloom harboring sinister family secrets.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film was shot across Chiang Mai, Thailand, and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, featuring a binational cast led by Thailand\u2019s Krissanapoom \u201cJ.J.\u201d Pibulsonggram (\u201cInhuman Kiss: The Last Breath\u201d) and Vietnam\u2019s Rima Thanh Vy (\u201cMuoi: The Curse Returns\u201d). The Vietnamese ensemble also includes Jun Vu (\u201cA Hundred Billion Key\u201d) and Cong Duong (\u201cOnce Upon A Time In Indochine\u201d), while Thai actors include Karnpicha \u201cJomjam\u201d Pongpanit (\u201cRedLife\u201d), Narupornkamol \u201cPraew\u201d Chaisang (\u201cMaster Of The House\u201d), Duangjai \u201cPure\u201d Hiransri (\u201cInhuman Kiss\u201d), and R.Nu Surasak Chaiyaat (\u201cLove Destiny\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAfter more than a year in development, Skyline Media is executing an ambitious strategy for the film\u2019s global launch,\u201d said Alice Nguyen, distribution manager at Skyline Media. \u201cWe\u2019re scheduling cinema openings in key territories soon after its Vietnamese premiere on Aug. 29, followed by sequential releases across Asian markets, and a grand theatrical finale in the story\u2019s cultural birthplace \u2013 Thailand.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe project represents the latest in Skyline Media\u2019s strategy to bring Vietnamese content to international markets. Since the start of 2025, the company has expanded globally with family drama \u201cThe Real Sister,\u201d<\/a> which premiered in over 100 North American locations and also released in Myanmar, Australia, and New Zealand. \u201cThe Ancestral Home,\u201d <\/a>Vietnam\u2019s highest-grossing spiritual film, has reached international cinemas in Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, the U.S., and Canada, becoming the eighth highest-grossing Vietnamese film of all time in North America.<\/p>\n

\n\tSkyline Media plans to present \u201cThe Bride\u201d to additional buyers at the upcoming Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) in Busan this September, focusing on expanding sales across additional Asian territories.<\/p>\n

\n\tThongkham Films, founded in 2020 by filmmaker Lee Thongkham, has built a reputation for genre storytelling and international collaborations, with previous credits including Netflix Original \u201cThe Maid,\u201d Thailand-China co-production \u201cThe Lake,\u201d and action-comedy \u201cKitty The Killer.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tSilver Moonlight Entertainment, established in 2019, has been involved in producing and investing in Vietnamese blockbusters including \u201cBlood Moon Party,\u201d \u201cVietnamese Horror Story,\u201d \u201cNaked Truth,\u201d and \u201cMuoi: The Curse Returns.\u201d<\/p>\n
