He did a double barrel-roll before landing right-side up. <\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_blockParagraph__I2kr4\">Smith was driving in the high lane at Turn 3, riding side-by-side with Front Row Motorsports teammate Todd Gilliland, when John Hunter Nemechek charged into the back of Smith&#8217;s car, leading him into the wall. <\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_blockParagraph__I2kr4\">He was pinned against the wall further once Nemechek lost control of his car, leading to Smith riding the barriers before completing two full car rotations and somehow landing on all four tires. <\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_blockParagraph__I2kr4\">\u201cIt was a wild ride, no doubt,\u201d Smith told NBC Sports. \u201cI had a decent restart going, and I just get wrecked by the 42. It\u2019s just a bummer. Right before that caution came out, we were gonna have a top-10 day, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/topic\/racing\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">racing<\/a> up inside the top 10 a majority of the day and it\u2019s a shame that it has to come to an end that way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Loading twitter content&#8230;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_blockParagraph__I2kr4\">In addition to Nemechek and Smith&#8217;s involvement in the crash, Ty Gibbs and Josh Berry were also involved in the wreck.
