Riders lost heavily to the Montreal Alouettes 48-31<\/a>.<\/p>\nDespite the recent trend of losses, the team is looking to the future.<\/p>\n
Riders quarterback Trevor Harris said that he wouldn\u2019t change his team for anything.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wouldn\u2019t trade any of this team for any team, and I mean that,\u201d he said. \u201cI feel like we\u2019re going to hit our stride at the right time, and I do think our best football is right on the horizon.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI really, really believe in this team, and I think we\u2019ll be there in the end, but we just have to take it one game at a time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Head coach Corey Mace has a similar feeling towards the team.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe one thing we know about this group is they\u2019re going to play their tails off, man. Just all the way to the end. I\u2019m so proud of those guys for that.\u201d<\/p>\n
As for changes the team could make to avoid another loss, Harris said that the team has to come out onto the field swinging.<\/p>\n
\u201cObviously what we\u2019re doing, the way we\u2019re doing it, has not been good enough the last two weeks, and so we\u2019ve got to find a way to start fast,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo matter what that means, how it looks, or the urgency in terms of getting going early, whatever that is, we have to start faster,\u201d said Harris.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe silver lining for me is I know what this group is, I know what they have as far as being able to play to the last whistle, it\u2019s just, I\u2019d love for us to start playing at the first whistle, too,\u201d Mace said.<\/p>\n
The Roughriders will have a chance at redemption this week when they face the Ottawa Redblacks, the team sitting last in the East, on Friday.<\/p>\n
