{"id":179263,"date":"2025-09-30T04:20:09","date_gmt":"2025-09-30T04:20:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/179263\/"},"modified":"2025-09-30T04:20:09","modified_gmt":"2025-09-30T04:20:09","slug":"formula-1s-lewis-hamilton-mourns-passing-of-pet-dog-roscoe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/179263\/","title":{"rendered":"Formula 1\u2019s Lewis Hamilton mourns passing of pet dog Roscoe"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Formula 1 star <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmanetwork.com\/news\/sports\/othersports\/933919\/hamilton-i-joined-ferrari-on-gut-feeling\/story\/%C3%82%C2%A0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Lewis Hamilton<\/a> is mourning the loss of his pet dog Roscoe.<\/p>\n<p>On Instagram, the Ferrari driver shared some photos of himself with his beloved 12-year-old English Bulldog along with a heartfelt message.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter four days on life support, fighting with every bit of strength he had, I had to make the hardest decision of my life and say goodbye to Roscoe,\u201d Lewis wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe never stopped fighting, right until the very end. I feel so grateful and honoured to have shared my life with such a beautiful soul, an angel and true friend,\u201d he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Lewis also shared that having Roscoe in his life was the best decision he ever made and that he will forever cherish the memories they created together.<\/p>\n<p>According to the race car driver, putting Roscoe to sleep is \u201cone of the most painful experiences\u201d he has ever felt in his life.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI feel a deep connection to everyone who has gone through the loss of a beloved pet. Although it was so hard, having him was one of the most beautiful parts of life, to love so deeply and to be loved in return,\u201d he added.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Ending his post, Lewis thanked everyone who showed love and support to Roscoe through the years.<\/p>\n<p>In a previous post, Lewis posted a photo of Roscoe in the hospital, saying that his beloved dog fell into a coma after catching pneumonia again.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>According to Lewis, Roscoe died &#8220;in his arms&#8221; on September 28.<\/p>\n<p>Aside from Roscoe, Lewis has another dog named Coco, which died in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jade Veronique Yap\/LA, GMA Integrated News<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton is mourning the loss of his pet dog Roscoe.
