A chilly, upper trough will descend across the area on Wednesday, infused with energy from Nunavut. The result? Daytime highs that will barely scrape into the double digits and single-digit overnight lows.<\/p>\n

Coolest daytime highs in Atlantic Canada since?<\/p>\n

While much of Eastern Canada is enjoying late-summer-like weather that will continue into the first week of October, parts of Atlantic Canada will be missing out.<\/p>\n

Fall-like weather has been absent across much of Canada, so these high temperatures might come with a bit of sticker shock.<\/p>\n

New Brunswick<\/p>\n

Miramichi: Wednesday\u2019s high: 12\u00b0C (Coldest high since May 25–8.9\u00b0C)<\/p>\n

Fredericton: Wednesday\u2019s high: 14\u00b0C (Coldest high since June 1–14.4\u00b0C)<\/p>\n

Moncton: Wednesday\u2019s high: 13\u00b0C (Coldest high since May 25–7.8\u00b0C)<\/p>\n

Sydney: Wednesday\u2019s High: 13\u00b0C (Coldest high since May 26–9.8\u00b0C)<\/p>\n

P.E.I.<\/p>\n

Charlottetown: Wednesday\u2019s high: 13\u00b0C (Coldest high since May 26–10.1\u00b0C)<\/p>\n

Newfoundland<\/p>\n

St. John\u2019s: Thursday\u2019s High: 8\u00b0C (Coldest high since May 26–4.8\u00b0C)<\/p>\n

Gander: Thursday\u2019s high: 9\u00b0C (Coldest high since May 25–4.3\u00b0C)<\/p>\n

However, temperatures will quickly rebound for the weekend with warmer-than-normal conditions. Temperatures will be in the low- to mid-20s for the Maritimes and near 20 degrees for Newfoundland on Saturday, and in the teens Sunday.<\/p>\n

Abundant sunshine is expected, but a system tracking across Quebec and into Labrador will bring rain to eastern Quebec, and northern Newfoundland Saturday night and into Sunday.<\/p>\n
