Have Titleist found a way to make some of the game\u2019s best golf balls<\/a> even better? <\/p>\n

Following the success of the AIM 360 and Enhanced alignment golf balls, Titleist launch the new AIM Performance design on the Pro V1<\/a>, Pro V1x<\/a>, and Pro V1x Left Dash<\/a>. This alignment aid offers all golfers a Tour-proven marking fresh out of the sleeve. <\/p>\n

Alignment features were first added to the Pro V1 sidestamp in 2007, and the Performance design is the latest Alignment Integrated Marking (AIM) to be added to Titleist\u2019s alignment options. <\/p>\n

An alignment aid was first introduced by Titleist as a direct result of Tour player feedback, and that continues to be the case in 2025. One golfer who can\u2019t play without an alignment aid is Pro V1 player Viktor Hovland<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI use a black line, because I cannot putt without this,\u201d Hovland said.<\/p>\n

\"Titleist<\/p>\n

\u201cI literally cannot aim. I\u2019ve never been good at standing over the ball and being able to aim that way. I\u2019ve found it\u2019s really helped my putting, especially on the short ones, when there\u2019s not too much break involved. I just did a blind test with a line on and then without a line, and I aimed it miles better with a line on.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Another golfer who uses an alignment aid to help them hole more putts is former PGA Tour player and coach Brad Faxon, who serves as a Titleist brand ambassador.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve used a line on every single putt I\u2019ve hit professionally since the early 90s,\u201d Faxon said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI always do it, no matter whether the putt is breaking a lot or not. It helps me to get the ball on the start line, where I want the ball to go.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\"Titleist<\/p>\n

To validate their design concepts, Titleist Golf Ball R&D conducted a controlled test to measure precision in alignment between four markings: AIM 360, AIM Performance, AIM Enhanced, and the standard Pro V1 sidestamp. <\/p>\n

Golfers were instructed to line up the golf balls to their target, and precision was evaluated by measuring the left-right proximity to the hole of the aligned marking through absolute angles. The results showed that each one of the three AIM products improved precision in alignment by up to\u00a035 percent\u00a0compared to the standard Pro V1 sidestamp. \u00a0<\/p>\n

The AIM Performance marking is designed after one of the most common additions Tour players make to their golf ball \u2013 a long, straight line. \u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cPlayer feedback is at the core of everything we do in product development.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe saw a growing interest in various alignment aids and cues printed directly on the golf ball from the dedicated golfer. <\/p>\n

\u201cOur AIM lineup consists of three unique performance-oriented designs, all geared to help golfers set up and then start their golf ball on its intended line.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we started the design process, we wanted to make sure we created designs that both resonated with golfers but also offered a real performance benefit.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe R&D test results were extremely validating in showing that these products offer a distinct performance advantage in precision alignment; they\u2019re not just decorations.\u201d<\/p>\n

The 105\u00b0 AIM Performance line features a new double-sided arrow shape, custom-printed on each golf ball opposite the sidestamp. The marking is 65 percent longer than the standard 2025 sidestamp.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
