Pamela Anderson<\/a> has long been one of our most famous blondes. Since her career began, we\u2019ve known her to sport shades of champagne, platinum, honey, and even light caramel while appearing as Barb Wire and C.J. Parker from Baywatch. But as of tonight, it appears that the actress\u2019s blonde era is over: Anderson is now a redhead.<\/p>\n

This new hair color\u2014which was paired with a shaggier chop\u2014is just part of Anderson\u2019s ever-evolving approach to beauty. It all started in 2023, when the actor attended Paris Fashion Week wearing no makeup\u2014an unexpectedly controversial move. \u201cI know I wasn\u2019t making strides toward world peace, but I was making a statement,\u201d she told me at the time<\/a>, while sitting front row at shows like The Row, Vivienne Westwood, and Victoria Beckham. \u201cI just thought, \u2018I\u2019m doing this for all the girls out there.\u2019 I\u2019ve had stepdaughters in past relationships, and my sons have girlfriends, and this was for them. In this day and age, do we even know what a face looks like anymore? This is it.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the years since, Anderson continues to live a mostly makeup-free life\u2014last year she announced to Vogue<\/a> that she was re-founding the vegan skincare brand Sonsie Skin<\/a>\u2014and is now apparently giving up bleach, too.<\/p>\n

According to somebody close to Anderson, her new look is inspired by Swedish film stars Gunnel Lindblom and Bibi Anderson. These are the references she brought to Parisian hairstylist John Nollet<\/a>, who gave her the transformation. This is all in preparation for her next role: Playing opposite Steve Coogan in Michael Cera’s directorial debut, Love is Not the Answer.<\/p>\n
