Europe\u2019s celebrations after their epic Ryder Cup victory<\/a> were predictably wild, but they also came at a jaw-dropping cost!<\/p>\n

Reports suggest that whoever was in charge of the finances may have been rubbing their eyes in disbelief when presented with the bill after Luke Donald\u2019s squad partied the night away in New York.<\/p>\n

Footage of the festivities has gone viral on social media, with Shane Lowry<\/a> front and centre for many of the videos.<\/p>\n

Lowry was, of course, the man who holed the priceless birdie putt on the 18th green at Bethpage Black to guarantee that Europe would retain the Ryder Cup.<\/p>\n

The Irishman snatched a memorable half point against Russell Henley and danced a jig of delight when his final putt dropped, and a few hours later, he was dancing on tables in the bar with the trophy in one hand and a glass of red win in the other.<\/p>\n

And, early on Monday morning, he took to his X account to make an unsurprising admission. \u201cI may have a hangover,\u201d he posted, adding a crying emoji.<\/p>\n

But whatever pain he had in his head was unlikely to match the headache of those responsible for settling the bar bill.<\/p>\n

According to The Sun, Team Europe drank a staggering \u00a3230,000 worth of champagne, wine, spirits and beer.<\/p>\n

The players, caddies, captains, backroom staff and family members apparently combined to work their way through 120 bottles of Moet & Chandon Brut Imperial Champagne, which retails at just under \u00a31,000 per bottle.<\/p>\n

They are also believed to have consumed almost \u00a375,000 of Moet & Chandon’s MCIII multi-vintage and rose champagne, adding up to 60 bottles.<\/p>\n

The vodka bill totted up to nearly \u00a320,000, with the spirit of choice being Belvedere at \u00a31,800 per bottle.<\/p>\n

And, if you think the vodka is expensive, the price of the cognac will leave you stunned.<\/p>\n

The party-goers got through 10 bottles of limited-edition Hennessy 250th Anniversary cognac, costing around \u00a32,200 each.<\/p>\n

It is also understood that they were offered the exclusive Hennessy Richard Lunar New Year 2025 cognac, which will set you back an astonishing \u00a315,000 per bottle.<\/p>\n

An inside source told The Sun: \u201cIt was a unique opportunity and a unique moment to celebrate, as winning on American soil is such a great achievement for Team Europe.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter a long weekend of tension and stress, the goal was to have them celebrate and enjoy some of the best drinks we could offer.\u201d<\/p>\n
