SAN FRANCISCO \u2013 The Warriors<\/a> have added one of the top shooting big men in the game to their roster on Tuesday morning.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The team announced it signed Al Horford in a press release. The terms of the deal were not revealed.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The big man has long been linked to the Warriors, with the team waiting until it re-signed restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga<\/a> to complete the move with Horford.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Warrior mainstay Draymond Green \u201ctheoretically\u201d spoke about him at the team\u2019s media day, while coach Steve Kerr<\/a> raved about the team\u2019s improved spacing on Tuesday in a not-so-subtle nod toward Horford\u2019s expected addition.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re going to be a little different, and we\u2019re going to make some additions to our roster,\u201d Kerr said. \u201cI think we\u2019ll be able to have better spacing than we\u2019ve had, 1-through-5, since I\u2019ve been here.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0The center, 39, spent most of the past seven seasons in Boston, where he lost to the Warriors in the 2022 Finals and helped the Celtics beat Dallas in the 2024 championship series.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He has been one of the league\u2019s best stretch bigs since entering the league in 2007 as the No. 3 pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. The prolific jump shooter has shot 37.8% from the 3-point line on 3.9 attempts per game.<\/p>\n

Though he is approaching 40, Horford has remained effective in the middle. He averaged 9.0 points per game and 6.2 rebounds per game for the Celtics in 2024-25 while playing 27.7 minutes a night.<\/p>\n

He will be the oldest of a rotation of former All-Stars when he joins Steph Curry (37), Draymond Green (35) and Jimmy Butler (35) in the Bay Area.<\/p>\n

Horford will bolster a center rotation that includes second-year stretch big Quinten Post, third-year rim-runner Quinten Post and Green, who the Warriors hope will play more power forward this season.\u00a0<\/p>\n
