After an exciting first day of action<\/a>, the MLB playoffs are back in full force Wednesday. Eight teams once again take the field, with four fighting to remain in contention for a World Series title.<\/p>\n

The Cleveland Guardians, San Diego Padres, New York Yankees and Cincinnati Reds are just a game away from being eliminated from the postseason after dropping Game 1 on Tuesday. Three of those four clubs lost by one or two runs, a sign that these wild-card series are evenly matched.<\/p>\n

Will the Tigers, Cubs, Red Sox and Dodgers punch their tickets to the division series on Wednesday? Or will the Guardians, Padres, Yankees and Reds stave off elimination and force Game 3?<\/p>\n
