The couple wed in 2006, and when their two daughters Sunday and Faith, now 17 and 14, were younger, Kidman “was all about them.” Eventually, the Oscar- and Emmy-winning actress-producer went back to work in full force.<\/p>\n
A source close to the family says Kidman “truly thrived working again. She’s been feeling amazing and very happy about having a career again.”<\/p>\n
“Now when they are older, [Sunday and Faith] love seeing their mom work. They are very supportive of their mom,” says the source. For country singer Urban, however, “it’s been the opposite,” the source adds.<\/p>\n
Says the source, “Keith was used to her being supportive of his career. He’s not been as supportive as she hoped.”<\/p>\n
Reps for Urban and Kidman have not responded to PEOPLE’s requests for comment.<\/p>\n

Kidman wrapped filming Practical Magic 2<\/a> with Sandra Bullock just weeks before her split news. She has four other upcoming TV shows in the works, plus a return to season 3 of Big Little Lies<\/a> that was recently announced. Urban has been on his High and Alive World Tour this year, with more dates scheduled through August 2026.<\/p>\n On Tuesday, Sept. 30, Kidman officially filed for divorce from Urban in Nashville<\/a>, citing irreconcilable differences.<\/p>\n “She didn\u2019t want this,” a source told PEOPLE on Monday when news of their separation broke<\/a>. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”<\/p>\n In an interview with CBS News<\/a> in December 2024, Kidman said after giving welcoming daughter Sunday with Urban, she thought, “I\u2019m pretty much done now” with acting.
