An intruder learned the hard way that wandering into the wrong home can have serious consequences after coming across an MMA fighter who was protecting his family in Florida.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

Henny Rojas, an aspiring mixed martial artist, shared the details of the incident that occurred in Wilton Manors on Sept. 27 with CBS Miami<\/a> in an interview published on Wednesday, Oct. 1.\n<\/p>\n

Rojas was happy to show his moves off for the news station as he threw his best punches before sharing his side of the harrowing story.\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

“I don’t like guns; I [wasn’t] looking for a knife or nothing \u2014 just God and my hands, that’s it,” the resident said of how he fended off the unwanted guest.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

The fighter, who has been training for roughly three years but has yet to fight professionally, told the outlet that his nephew was home with Rojas when the teen saw a man enter the living room.\n<\/p>\n

The nephew’s parents, Henny’s sister Patrizia Rojas and her husband, were away in Miami at the time.\n<\/p>\n

“He was screaming, ‘Mom, call [the] police, someone has broken into the house,’ ” Patrizia said of her son.\n<\/p>\n

Police identified the intruder as 31-year-old Austin Carasani, according to CBS Miami.\n<\/p>\n

Per CBS Miami, Carasani told police \u201che had been drinking at a local club and was attempting to go to his friend Paul\u2019s house who resides in the area\u201d when he entered the wrong home.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

Henny\u2019s neighbor, Andreas Gomez, described what he saw: “The guy was freezing and they started punching him in the face.”\n<\/p>\n

PEOPLE did not immediately receive a response from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. It is unclear whether or not Carasani has an attorney.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

A booking photo shared by the BCSO showed Carasani with cuts and bruises of different shades covering his face and mouth. He went before a judge just hours later.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

Speaking of his decision to jump into action to defend his nephew and his sister’s home, Rojas shared that he was “prepared.”\n<\/p>\n

“It’s not my first time; I don’t feel pain,” he said.\n<\/p>\n

Court footage obtained by the news station showed a judge reading Carasani a home invasion charge.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

The Wilton Manors resident said if he had the chance, he\u2019d do it all over again: \u201cProtect your family.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\u201cThere [are] a lot of crazy people [who] don\u2019t believe in God, who [are] only looking for damage,\u201d Henny said.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
